K-900A
Medium
Pressure |
For most V-forming jobs up to &
including 11 ga. steel (even exotics).
NOT recommended for U-forming. |
Can V-form mild steel up to 1/4"
thick, or radius U-form up to 11 ga.,
or flat bottom U-form up to 16 ga. |
Same as 1" and 2" wide pads,
but also allows deeper punch penetration
to form both wider channels and larger
radius bends. |
For use when deep penetration is required;
withstands constant flexing action. |
For use when very high blankholding
pressure is required for heavy metals. |
| NOTE:
General purpose Grade K-900A is recommended
for most applications. |
K-950A
High
Pressure |
Recommended when higher
blankholding and forming pressure is
required - for example when forming
harder or sharper inside radii. However,
less punch penetration is possible,
and shorter pad life may be expected.
Generally used for uncomplicated bends
in difficult metals. |
Most recommended grade, has harder
surface & can withstand more abuse
(not generally used for deep penetration). |
Not recommended. |
K-800A
Low
Pressure |
Recommended for lighter
metals (less than 20 ga. mild steel)
when long pad life is desired. Also,
best grade when limited press tonnage
is available or if deeper punch penetration
is required for complicated bends in
light gages. |
Not recommended. |
Most recommended grade for generating
additional blankholding pressure. |
