New Youtube video is now up for the urethane press brake dies. These dies are made from strong and resilient 75D urethane. They are made to mimic a steel v-die but take away the scratching and marring that is normally associated with standard steel press brake dies. They are able to handle everything a steel die can and really shine in high production use where multiple and repetitive bends are common. These are sold in 12″, 24″, 36″ and 48″ lengths. They can be butted together for longer or custom lengths. If you are interested in a product like this or have an idea for using this product please contact us and let us know.
We have added two new YouTube videos to our channel. These are featuring our LD machine. This machine makes quick work of most smaller rolling jobs. If you are interested in speaking with an engineer or getting a quote please click here.
Acrotech Inc. is approved under the FDA guidelines section #177.21000 Subpart F to manufacture urethane parts suitable for use in the food industry. The high durability and abrasion resistance of the urethane makes it a very suitable choice for the food industry. If you have applications that require constant contact with food we can certainly be of assistance. We can manufacture food conveyor line parts, bumpers, rollers, compactors, bins, hoppers and more.
Pictured below is a very large roller that is awaiting final grinding to the exact specified size. We poured this at 53″ long x 9″ in diameter. The finalized grind will be put on it and it will be ready for final inspection and sent to the customer.
We would welcome the opportunity to quote your next FDA compliant part. We can handle all sizes and shapes of parts that you may need. Small to big we are competitive with rapid turnaround. Contact us here for a quote!
Normally our rolling machines are standard with our 90A Durometer Urethane Roller. This provides a general all-in-one type of roller capable of handling thick to thin metals and able to be delicate enough to handle pre-cut and perforated metals. In addition the medium-hard 90A durometer has slits cut in the roller to help aid in dispersing loads. Works great for most but there are some applications where it is just too hard. We are currently building a custom unit for a customer with an 80A durometer roller on it to provide a very delicate surface for forming extremely thin and pre-cut materials. This roller does not have the slits cut in it because it would further the possibility of it marking the sensitive materials. The material is precision ground to the correct diameter and mated up to the die roller for a perfect and consistent roll every time. This is a combination that will allow very delicate, thin and decorated metals to pass through without issue.
If you find yourself limited in production capabilities and or are wondering if we can handle anything different that you might have an application for. Do not hesitate to contact us we will be happy to answer any and all questions you might have. Now that our new catalog is out, you might have seen that we now have the urethane hammer back – officially for sale and we are excited about it. We have already been taking orders and pouring new stock of these since the catalog debut. Many praise these hammers as being great for finish work and to not leave marks or mar materials. These hammers do and will bounce off with harder strikes so precaution and some precision is needed. The urethane hardness of these hammers are standard at 75D however we are able to custom pour these not only in different shapes / sizes but in different colors and harnesses as well.
Have a larger run? Are you looking to add a specialty hammer to your product line? No problem. We can and will make urethane hammers in company colors with company logos and in different harnesses or shapes based on your designs.
Uses for these hammers are of course limitless however some of our customers use them for:
- Mill / Lathe Tool Changing
- Automotive / Mechanics Work
- Engine Building
- Field Work / Farming

Just a quick look at how precise we are with our rolling machines. Below you will see a special bearing with a very durable yet extremely important coating on one side. We have to test and ensure that the rolling and final outcome meets the customers standards before shipping. This part is being made on our V-1006. All of our rolling machines can be custom made to handle a lot of applications and tooling can be precision machined to handle smaller more intricate shapes.
These shapes can be used for exacting measurements for the discriminating engineer or manufacturing company. Of course our urethane roller which is the highlight to all of our two roll bending machines allows for this thinner – micro sheet metal to take form without distortion as well as retaining critical finishes on the metal unharmed. The urethane is able to absorb and roll extremely thin to moderately thick sheet metal. One Acrotech roll bending machine can really be set up for various different types of products all under the same roof. Take control of your production and consider an Acrotech roll bending machine for your company. If you have any questions about any of our roll bending machines please be sure to Contact Us We will be happy to help walk through any manufacturing questions you may have that involve urethane and / or roll bending.
Most know by now that we do two things very well. Custom Urethane and Urethane Roll Bending Machines like the Model 1212, 1618, 1824 and the LD and HD Machines. The uses for urethane can be almost limitless but we have found that when its used as the roller in our machines it can allow us to form sheet metal rolls in a delicate manner. Our roll bending units are competitively priced and extremely well built that will last for years in heavy usage production environments. However if you find that you want to test out your product idea first before committing to purchase you should Contact Us. Our below example is some heavier gauge aluminum that has been pre-cut and sent to us. The customer wanted us to roll the metal for them to meet a manufacturing deadline saving them both time and money. We are happy to offer this service of custom rolling sheet metal and we can provide this service in a rapid turnaround manner. Our trained staff will be able to help you with everything from questions, quoting, rolling and shipping these delicate parts to you. Materials, thickness and design are of no matter. Let us help you with perforated, punched, stamped, cut, twisted, thin or thick sheet metal. The list does not end there, send us your information for a more detailed request for quote.
We have a lot of customers calling us to see if we can cost effectively produce their existing parts for them in durable, cost effective urethane. The answer is most times yes, we can! This part is a mixing paddle that is made from expensive stainless steel. This material is great for its high compatibility with most other things that it will be in contact with but it is difficult to fabricate and heavy. That extra time and added strain on other components used to spin this paddle is greatly reduced when you use a lighter weight and easier to create urethane copy. The below picture just shows how exact our process makes everything.. The customer is now extremely happy with a cost effective, lighter weight yet rigid, high compatibility material paddle that can last for a long time to come. If you have a project like this that you would like Acrotech to look at and quote please visit our Request for Quote page here and we will get back in touch with you right away.
It seems just like it was the turn of the new year. Things have been so busy here at Acrotech we haven’t had the time to update the blog. We are diligently working on a new catalog for this year. With that a lot of exciting things are to come with getting that ready!
In addition to that Thanks to a lot of you, our inspection department is really getting a workout this year. Our inspection department will test, measure and document every batch of parts that we make. We also inspect the machined and poured molds prior to production. We are turning out an overwhelming amount of custom molds this year. At this rate we are going to have to build another warehouse for all of these!! As we always have done we can machine a mold based on a print that you send us or if you need technical assistance one of our draftsman can draw it in house. There are times where you might be switching vendors and you own the mold, we will happily use that and catalog it for future orders. In other circumstances or for certain parts we are able to make a soft mold using your master. This is usually the case for certain parts with complex formations or for a small volume order. They are a cost effective solution. In any case our inspection department will be certain to measure, test and document your next mold for your order. If you have questions or would like us to quote you on your next urethane project. Please Contact Us Now so we can help you out!
